Fishing started after a long time in Bangladesh

Fishermen are returning to their own address after about one hundred days. At the end of the ban on catching hilsa, the fishermen of Chittagong have started their journey in the sea in the hope of catching silver hilsa in flocks.

All fishing trawlers and boats are ready at Fisarighat, Majhirghat, Chaktai, Firingibazar, Kattli and Sitakunda and Anwara coasts of the district.

On May 20, catching hilsa was banned. However, long before that, fishing was stopped due to the coronavirus epidemic.

Fishermen set out for the sea in large trawlers with ice and emergency equipment in the afternoon before the ban expired at midnight on Thursday. Before that it took a few days to buy rice-pulses-oil-vegetables, repair nets and load the necessary materials.
