Nasima Akter, the mother of Sinha Rashed Khan, a retired army officer who was shot dead by police at a checkpoint in Cox's Bazar, said she wanted no one to die like this.

The childless mother commented that such killings need to be stopped in order to build a better future for today's young children. Leaders of Rawa, an organization of retired army officers, visited Sinha's house in Uttara on Monday afternoon to meet his mother. Nasima Akhter told reporters after discussing with them.
Khandaker Nurul Afsar, chairman of the Retired Armed Forces Welfare Association (RAWA), demanded the withdrawal of the Cox's Bazar police superintendent in the interest of a proper investigation into the killings.
The retired army officer expressed satisfaction over the progress of the investigation. Sinha's Mother has expressed satisfaction with the progress of his son's murder case.

Nasima Akhter said, “We are satisfied with the investigation into Sinha's murder so far. My son was positive and always said 'B positive' and I am also in favor of 'B positive'. "

The mother gave a detailed account of how Sinha was, why he quit his job, what he thought about life and surroundings.

After quitting her job in the army, Nasima Akhter wanted to know the reason to her son. He replied, “What is the power of mummy? Everyone has today, there is no tomorrow, I will be in the heart of the people, I will work for the people.”

“He thought a lot about the next generation”, she said.
